Just over 2 weeks to go

Departure date is slowly getting closer.  It seems to have really dragged this year.  We will be picking up our tour documents next Tuesday. That is when it will really feel real. 
As I'm travelling with my best friend Mary on this tour, I'm not sure if I will have the time to update this blog every day, while we are travelling.  Only time will tell.

I've been looking at the temps in some of the towns up north in Finland & Norway and even though it's summer over there, some of the temps are still very winterish.  4 to 7c with snow in a few of the places. And the sun is shining almost 24 hours day.  That will take some getting used to. 😁

Tour Planning

This year I'm touring with Bunnik. I toured Japan with them in 2015. Originally I was going to go with Insight, on their Grand Tour of Scandinavia but found that Bunnik had a very similar tour but they flew to a couple of places, that cut out a few very long bus days, on the Insight itinerary.  In the end, it wasn't just my decision, as I'm travelling with my best friend Mary. I was on the same tour of India with her and her partner, back in 2013.

This is the Insight itinerary map. I've been told that the coast line in Norway is beautiful and I'm sure it is but I don't particularly want to spend 3 days in a coach, seeing it.

This is the Bunnik itinerary map. I like that it starts in Stockholm, so there isn't that long drive from Copenhagen.
